The Simulation Coordinator assists in the professional coordination of the simulation and clinical skills student experiences. The Simulation Coordinator, in collaboration with the Director, Physician Assistant Studies and Physician Assistant Faculty assists in planning, implementing, and evaluating the experiences within the Center for Health Sciences' Bramlett Starnes Center for Advanced Simulation. The Simulation Coordinator will, at times, assist the Occupational Therapy and Nursing faculty with simulation experiences to include interprofessional educational events.

Qualifications

12- month, Full-time

  • Three years' experience in medical simulation training
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred); associates degree required
  • Ability to operate in high-pressure situations
  • Demonstrated innovative approach to problem resolution
  • Extensive knowledge of simulation and/or instructional technologies
  • Experience with simulation technology including VALT audiovisual systems and SimMan Essentials mannequin is preferred
  • Effective analytical ability in order to develop and analyze options, recommend solutions to and solve complex problems and issues.
  • Experience in data collection and analysis of student performance
  • Familiarity with physician assistant profession (preferred)
